Sacred Love Letters |
I love having a "hopeless romantic" for a husband! This month, Eric came up with the idea of writing sacred love letters to each other. Though we've written love letters throughout our married life, we've never written "sacred love letters", as Eric has termed it. Sacred love letters are not just a few sweet-sounding words scribbled out on some notebook paper - but the kind of beautiful, old-fashioned love letters you see in Jane Austen movies, with elegant calligraphy and scented stationary. I know this doesn't sound like much of a "guy" idea, but I am married to someone who is not just a Warrior - but a true Poet as well! And I am certainly not complaining. So far, we have each written three sacred love letters for our collection. We use beautiful paper, envelopes and even a sprig of lilac to grace the outside. We store our letters in a keepsake box, and someday we will look back and remember that our love story was even more passionate 12 years into the journey than when we first said the words, "I do!" |
