An Invitation from Leslie…

The other day I was sitting in our studio, editing my new book Set Apart Femininity – God’s Sacred Intent for Every Young Woman, and I got a hankering (that’s one of Eric’s words, but for some reason I’m using it) to do a NEW kind of Authentic Girl Weekend, based on the message of my new book. We have so much going on in our ministry, so many book deadlines, etc, that up until now I honestly wasn’t planning on doing any AG Weekends this year. However, I’ve decided that I’m just too passionate about the message of this new book to keep quiet about it. SO…I personally invite you to join me in Colorado for one of our 2008 Set Apart Girl Weekends! Come spend the weekend at my house, fellowshipping with other like-minded girls and hearing a powerful message about living the kind of femininity that counts!

This message goes far beyond Authentic Beauty, and is the stuff that Amy Carmichaels, Gladys Aylwards and Catherine Booths are made of!! It will be different material than anything you have experienced in my previous books or AG Weekends. Though Eric will pop his head in from time and time, I will be the one speaking for all the sessions. I’ll dive deep into the themes from my new book, which include:

Authentic Girl Weekend Testimony

Two summers ago, I came to an AG weekend by myself, somewhat apprehensive, not knowing what to expect. However, nothing could have prepared me in the way in which the weekend would become a milestone in my walk with the Lord. Before that weekend, my faith and love for the Lord Jesus was growing lackluster. I was growing increasingly frustrated with the Christian life. There was something missing, I just did not know what it was.

As soon as I arrived in Colorado, I was warmly greeted by sisters in the Lord with whom I immediately shared a bond with. The AG team’s overwhelming hospitability, love, and example of the set apart life spoke louder than words. By observing their lifestyles and listening to the God given messages by Eric and Leslie, I knew why God had called me there that weekend. It was to yield all of me to my Lord and enter into a completely surrendered, set apart, beautiful relationship with Jesus Christ. It was to fully understand what making the Lord of my life truly meant. I found that weekend what I had been earnestly searching for- a truly set apart encounter with the Lord.

It is one thing to read about and study the set apart life. It is entirely different to experience the set apart life in its abundance for a weekend, surrounded by a team that is fully devoted to the abandonment call of Jesus Christ. I strongly urge all girls who are searching for more in their walk with Jesus, to attend one of this year’s Set Apart Girl weekends. The Lord will truly meet you there, allowing you to come face to face with all that He desires to do in your life. (Kelly Monahan, 24)
